Websites for civil and construction

In construction, the website is not a marketing tool.
It is a trust asset.

Construction now operates in a trust recession. Procurement has tightened. Due diligence is the standard, not the exception.

Your website is not being read by strangers. It is being read by a head contractor who heard the name on a site. A procurement lead handed your contact details. A project director deciding whether to invite you to tender. And the experienced people deciding whether this is a business worth working for. Warm readers arriving with intent, not curiosity. The website needs to hold up under their assessment, not generate their interest.

Most construction websites are doing more damage than nothing.

Due diligence starts here
The website has to answer before you do.
Is The Business Credible?

Before a word is read the website is already communicating. Does it look like the business it represents? A dated or broken site communicates something good copy will not recover.

Is the Track Record Relevant?

Named projects, clients, personnel, credentials, and accreditation that proves the business can operate at the level required closes this question. What is not there is noticed as much as what is.

Are They Safe to Bring On?

Does bringing this business into the project introduce risk? Compliance frameworks, safety performance, named personnel with credentials. A site that surfaces this material removes the question before it is asked.

What to expect
Built for the people deciding.

The process is built around one objective. A site that is ready to be assessed by the people the business is trying to reach

01.
Structure

The website starts with understanding how the business is evaluated, not just how it prefers to present itself. The structure, content, and the way it surfaces credibility shift depending on who is reading it.

02.
Design

The website is the most visible expression of the brand in a digital environment. The design applies the visual language to the structure built around the audience.

03.
Build

The approved design is developed in Webflow, built mobile responsive, tested across devices, and reviewed for technical performance before launch.

04.
Handover

After a final review the site goes live and transfers to your own Webflow account. Full ownership, no restrictions, and a platform you can manage, update in-house, or bring back to 'Strate as the business grows.

The outcome
A website the business owns and the right people respect.

The result is a website that holds up under the scrutiny of the people the business is trying to get into the room with. Not a template. Not a placeholder. A commercial asset built to be assessed, transferred to your Webflow account on completion, and ready to represent the business from the day it launches.

FAQs
What platform is the website built on?
arrow down
Webflow. It produces clean, fast, production-grade websites without the bloat that comes from template-based platforms. The code is lightweight, structured for search engines and AI tools to read clearly, and straightforward to manage without touching code. At the end of the project the site transfers to your own Webflow account with full ownership and no restrictions.

How hard is it to make changes to the website internally?
arrow down
Webflow is great for non-technical users. Text and image updates are straightforward through the Webflow editor without touching any code. Training resources are provided at handover to cover the most common updates: adding a project, updating personnel, changing contact details. For larger structural changes that go beyond standard content updates, we can help to make sure everything turns out as it should.
Do you use templates?
arrow down
No. Every site is built from the structure up against the specific business, its audience, and its commercial objectives. A template starts from someone else's assumptions about what a business needs to communicate and who it needs to communicate to. The sites we build do not. Every build is also structured in Webflow so the client can update and manage it internally without developer support. Custom does not mean complicated to maintain.
Do you write the copy for the website?
arrow down
Placeholder copy is used throughout the design stage to guide the volume, flow, and structure of content required for each page. Copywriting is not included in the website scope. The placeholder structure shows exactly what needs to be written, and where, before the client starts. Where copywriting support is needed, we can connect you with trusted specialists.
Can you work with our existing brand?
arrow down
Yes, where the existing brand is strong enough to carry the site. Part of the initial assessment is whether the existing identity holds up in a web environment. Colour, typography, logo variants, and overall visual standard. Where it does, the website builds on it. Where it does not, that conversation happens before the build begins.
Brand Identity
What SEO is included in the build?
arrow down
Every website is built with SEO best practices as standard. This includes SEO page titles and meta descriptions, Google Analytics, a mobile responsive build, and clean Webflow code that search engines read clearly. Increasingly, that same clean structure is what lets AI tools read and surface a site correctly, which is built in from the start. For businesses looking to go further with ongoing SEO and content strategy, that is a separate conversation.
Are there any ongoing fees?
arrow down
Webflow is billed directly to you as the site owner, not through 'Strate. Plans start from around $15 USD per month depending on the plan your site needs, and you can check Webflow's live pricing below. There are no additional fees payable to 'Strate for the site to remain live.

What if I want to move the site to a different platform in the future?
arrow down
Webflow exports HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The code, content, and imagery all belong to you. If you want to move to a different CMS in the future a developer can work with the exported files. It is not a one-click migration but it is not a locked system either. The site is yours to take wherever the business needs it to go.
